Chili Mac with Bacon
Type: Backcountry   Meal Type: Main Course

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup pasta
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup bean flakes
  • 1/3 cup cheese sauce powder
  • 1/4 cup bacon bits

Cooking Instructions:
At home combine dry ingredients in a freezer zip lock bag and write cooking instruction on bag with permanent marker.

At camp bring water to a boil. Add dry ingredients to boiling water, and cook covered until pasta is cooked, about 10 minutes. Stir occasionally while cooking and add extra water as needed so the mixture does not dry out too much. Makes 1 -2 servings.
